Everett Anschutz retired from practice and now serves Of Counsel to the law firm Robertson Anschutz Vetters, LLC with its principal office in Houston, Texas. He attended the University of Texas and the University of Texas Law School graduating in 1967. Mr. Anschutz began a real estate related practice in 1973, providing document preparation and foreclosure services to mortgage lenders. Other services over the years included mortgage related litigation, and advice on a wide range of regulatory compliance issues. He is a member of the American Bar Association, Texas Land Title Association, Texas Association of Bank Counsel, Texas Association of Mortgage Professionals, and Texas Mortgage Bankers Association. Mr. Anschutz served as Legal Counsel to the Texas Association of Mortgage Brokers for several years. In that capacity he was involved in legislative activities, presenting oral and written testimony before legislative committees and participating in legislative stakeholder meetings, including interim study committee meetings. He has testified before the Texas Finance Commission concerning proposed rules issued by the Commission. Mr. Anschutz has been a contributing editor to the Texas Mortgage Lending Law & Practice Deskbook.
